In the wee hours of September 22nd, Western Turf Farms in Langley was vandalized to the tune of over $50,000 in damage by a vehicle spinning doughnuts.

Minor use commodity liaison committees across Canada are required to review their minor use pest priorities each year. We are attempting to solicit feedback from stakeholders in the Canadian turfgrass industry to determine consensus on the pest priority rankings. This survey does not include synthetic turf.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has reported a low number (<10) of Japanese beetles outside of the current regulated areas, in the Cities of Kamloops and Abbotsford, BC. The appropriate stakeholders have been contacted and the situation is being monitored.
